Our Programs

Starting the 2025/2026 School Year

Life Path U provides a Christ-centered educational experience tailored to adults with disabilities. Our school operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with a school day running from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Programs are structured in two-day blocks to best meet our students' unique needs: two days are focused on students with cognitive disabilities, and two days are dedicated to students with mobile disabilities.

Beyond the classroom, we offer enriching opportunities for students to showcase their talents and engage with the community, including music and performing arts performances once per semester and athletic competitions held twice per semester. These activities foster growth, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment, celebrating each student’s God-given abilities.

Life Path U Programming:
Empowering Journeys. Engaging Lives.

At Life Path U, we offer a comprehensive program designed to nurture each student’s God-given potential through intentional education, community, and personal development. Our classes span a variety of subjects, ensuring students grow academically, spiritually, creatively, and socially. Led by certified special education teachers and supported by multiple aides and volunteers, each class maintains an ideal student-to-helper ratio to ensure personalized support and success.

Bible Studies
Purpose: To deepen students' relationships with God and understand His Word.
Students engage in Bible lessons that teach foundational truths, practical applications, and the love of Christ. Individual goals may include learning specific verses, participating in group prayers, or leading a devotional. Each student has the opportunity to earn a certificate of completion as they grow in their faith journey.

Math
Purpose: To develop practical mathematical skills for everyday life.
Classes focus on personalized math goals, ranging from basic arithmetic to financial literacy, tailored to the student's abilities. Math instruction emphasizes real-world application, helping students build confidence in managing tasks such as budgeting, shopping, and problem-solving.

Sports
Purpose: To promote physical activity, teamwork, and a sense of achievement.
With access to adaptive sports facilities and inclusive activities, students participate in a variety of sports and fitness programs. They are encouraged to set personal fitness goals and embrace the joy of competition while fostering community connections. Certificates recognize their progress and achievements.

Music
Purpose: To explore creativity and connect with God through musical expression.
Students learn about rhythm, melody, and performance through singing, playing instruments, and group activities. Music classes provide opportunities to discover new talents and perform in front of peers and families, fostering confidence and a sense of accomplishment.

Business
Purpose: To introduce students to entrepreneurial skills and workplace readiness.
Students learn foundational concepts like planning, customer service, and teamwork through hands-on projects such as creating and selling handmade goods. Individual goals might include completing a mock interview, running a small business venture, or managing a class store. Certificates of completion highlight their progress and prepare them for real-world experiences.

Service Projects
Purpose: To cultivate compassion and a heart for serving others.
Service projects allow students to give back to their community, whether through packing care kits, assisting at local charities, or supporting their peers. These activities help students develop empathy and teamwork while building a sense of purpose in making a difference.

Life Skills
Purpose: To equip students for independent and fulfilling lives.
Life skills classes focus on practical tasks such as cooking, cleaning, transportation, and personal hygiene. Each student works toward individual goals like preparing a meal or learning public transit routes. Certificates of completion celebrate milestones that enhance their independence.

Performing Arts
Purpose: To build confidence and showcase creativity through performance.
Students participate in activities such as theater, dance, or public speaking, learning how to express themselves in front of an audience. These experiences foster self-esteem and communication skills while giving students the joy of performing in productions and events.
