About Us
At Life Path U, our mission is to empower adult students with disabilities to discover their God-given potential through Christ-centered education, while engaging lives with the transformative love of Jesus. Grounded in biblical truth, we strive to foster growth, independence, and a deeper relationship with God, equipping our students to live purpose-filled lives and shine His light in the world.
Admission and programming
Life Path U is a Christ-centered educational program designed specifically for adults with disabilities, ages 18 and older. Our program is best suited for individuals who have the ability to manage their behavior throughout a school day, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are unable to accommodate students who routinely act out physically or exhibit physically abusive behaviors.
As part of our admissions process, we take a personalized approach to understanding each student's unique abilities, needs, and potential. This includes engaging with the student and their family to assess suitability for our program, identifying the best programming options, and setting both short- and long-term goals that align with their strengths and aspirations.
Enrollment at Life Path U requires the completion of a family agreement and acknowledgment of our statement of faith, which guides our mission and daily operations. Together, we partner with families to create a supportive, engaging, and empowering educational experience rooted in biblical principles.
Statement of faith
Life Path U holds firmly to a statement of faith that defines our beliefs and serves as the foundation for our Core Values, Mission, and Vision. It is our shared faith and relationship with Jesus Christ that make the Life Path U community unique and vibrant.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of god
It is our final authority in all matters of life and faith.
Scripture references: II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21
We believe in the Trinity
God is one, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit, perfectly unified.
Scripture references: Matthew 28:19; I Corinthians 8:6
We believe in Jesus Christ
Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died an atoning death through His shed blood. He rose bodily from the dead and is alive today.
Scripture references: Luke 1:30-55; John 1:1-15
We believe in the creation and fall of humanity
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, resulting in separation from God and bringing death to all.
Scripture references: Genesis 2:16; Genesis 3:16-19; Romans 3:10-23; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23
We believe in the sanctity of gender
God creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
Scripture reference: Genesis 1:26-27
We believe in the sanctity of marriage
Marriage is a God-ordained union between one man and one woman.
Scripture reference: Genesis 2:24
We believe in salvation through Jesus Christ
Salvation is a free gift from God, available to all who call upon the name of the Lord. It is by grace, through faith, and not by human works. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
Scripture references: Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 16:31
This statement of faith reflects the biblical principles upon which Life Path U is built and guides us as we serve adults with disabilities in their educational and spiritual journey.
